Faust Lavinia

☪ VISUAL: Faust appears to be perhaps in his 20's (he's actually 400+), with light brown hair that darkens near the ends in an ombre effect. He is 174cm (around 5'8.5") tall and his eyes are a bluish shade of violet.
(Not immediately visible is a large crest on the back of his left shoulder, and he may have some very old patches of burn scars on his body.)
☪ FASHION: Faust's fashion sense can be a bit mystical with vaguely religious undertones. For the most part he wears the outfit pictured to the left, but otherwise he often wears robes or dress-like pieces with another layer overtop, often with jewelry/accessories that may include crosses or other trinkets. He often wears a pair of round sepia-tinted shades. He does, on occasion, wear pants. His aesthetic can be elegant but modest, to suit his reserved demeanor.
☪ DEMEANOR: Faust has a gloomy, unsociable aura about him and you'd be lucky to catch him smiling. His body language is closed off and withdrawn, as if he'd rather be anywhere other than where he is right now. He often keeps his arms crossed or touches the brim of his hat or his glasses while speaking. However, he isn't timid or shy in conversation; rather, he can range from calm and a little blunt to cold depending on the subject or who he's talking to. He tends to make a show of being disinterested in or disliking this or that, but as you get to know him you'll realize he's just being tsun more often than not.
☪ VOICE: Voiced by Ito Kento, voice example here. He has a mellow way of speaking and rarely raises his voice, though he can be commanding or assertive when he wants to be.

Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku takes place in a semi-medieval fantasy world, and Faust is a wizard. Wizards can use all sorts of magic, and being born a wizard rather than a human is akin to a random mutation. They live exceedingly long lives and it's not uncommon for humans to fear or hate them due to their power. When wizards die, they turn to stone and shatter into what is referred to as mana stones. If a wizard makes a promise and then breaks it, they lose their magic.

Faust used to fight for a future where humans and wizards could live together in peace, but after a betrayal by his closest human friend, he spent hundreds of years shut away from the world and became a curseworker who is bitter toward humanity. The only reason he's not still hiding out in the woods is that he's been chosen as one of the Sage's Wizards who have to fight off The Great Calamity (a.k.a. the moon but also it's magic, or something) once a year.
